I have some display chunks as soon as I use some of my swap space. I noticed it
first with a VirtualBox VM as it generally needs space from my swap partition.
But it also appears when compiling programs as soon as it requires the swap
partition.
I narrowed the issue down but don't know

Lately I tried some different configurations (lvm & partition) to divide my raid
5 array.
I noticed that partitioning the array was resulting in far better performances
than using lvm.
I have the following configuration :

Same problem. But I wasn't as bad as y
I just installed the Linux driver for my printer a Samsung ML-1710, printer
worked fine but now the system hangs on boot, I have attached a screenshot of
where the boot stalls.
I am not sure what to make of it, should I do a dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg?

I am currently using Debian Etch Amd64 kernel 2.6.18, it's a fresh
install. (but also tried with Sid)
Everytime I log on to gmail with either firefox 1.5 or 2.0 or epiphany,
I get to the inbox but the system freeze after I click on something,
can be straight away
I can still move the mouse (USB)
Ok look like I found my answer, need to wait for ALSA 1.0.14

Did an "lspci" but the C-media onboard sound card wasn't listed, I
found it with "lsusb"
