I have an IBM x41 with an Intel soundcard, and am trying to set up Gnome to recognize my Logitech v10 USB speakers. Everything works fine if I boot the system with the speakers plugged in, but hot-plugging them doesn't work, and I have to reboot the system each time I want to switch between the built-in sound and the USB speakers/soundcard combo.
Can anyone point me to an appropriate howto for setting up hotplug scripts and/or .asoundrc to allow me to switch between sound cards without rebooting? Or is there something else I should be doing to make this work? -- Unabashedly littering the information superhighway with detritus like this for over 15 years now. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
