Thanks Pierre.

I was looking through bug reports, I just hadn't gotten to ruby-locale. :)

How to install memoizable?

2013-12-25 Thread Brad Alexander
I tried to dist-upgrade my workstation tonight, and apt-listbugs failed for
me:

After this operation, 167 MB of additional disk space will be used.
Do you want to continue? [Y/n]
/usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require': cannot load
such file -- locale/util/memoizable (LoadError)
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require'
from /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/gettext/class_info.rb:3:in `top
(required)'
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require'
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require'
from /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/gettext/text_domain_manager.rb:13:in
`top (required)'
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require'
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require'
from /usr/lib/ruby/vendor_ruby/gettext.rb:19:in `top (required)'
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require'
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require'
from /usr/sbin/apt-listbugs:294:in `main'
E: Sub-process /usr/sbin/apt-listbugs apt returned an error code (1)
E: Failure running script /usr/sbin/apt-listbugs apt

How do I get this required gem? I tried gem install memoizable, however, it
failed as well:

gem install memoizable
Fetching: atomic-1.1.14.gem (100%)
Building native extensions. This could take a while...
ERROR: Error installing memoizable:
ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension.

/usr/bin/ruby1.9.1 extconf.rb
/usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require': cannot load
such file -- mkmf (LoadError)
from /usr/lib/ruby/1.9.1/rubygems/custom_require.rb:36:in `require'
from extconf.rb:13:in `main'

Gem files will remain installed in /var/lib/gems/1.9.1/gems/atomic-1.1.14
for inspection.
Results logged to /var/lib/gems/1.9.1/gems/atomic-1.1.14/ext/gem_make.out

gem_make.out couldn't load a file, mkmf.

This has happened only since my last dist-upgrade.Is something missing here?

Thanks,
