Hello! There is Win2000 installed on my Debian machine. I want to access files from Win2000 partition, so I added the following line to /etc/fstab: /dev/hda1 /nt autodefaults,ro 0 2 However after NTFS is mounted only root can access the directory /nt: dr-x--1

Hello! There is Win2000 installed on my Debian machine. I want to access files from Win2000 partition, so I added the following line to /etc/fstab: stop right there :) ive read time and time again that NTFS under linux is UNSTABLE. and especially the code with win2k filesystems. see this:
