I used /usr/bin/system-config-printer to detect and set up my printers. I want to set up one of the printers to do do both simplex and duplex printing, so I duplicate it, and change the original settings that the "find printer" process discovered from simplex to duplex.
After a few days, the copy disappears and I have to set it up again to print a file duplexed. This is a new phenomenon that started a few weeks ago, but I haven't updated anything. I'm using Operating System: Debian GNU/Linux 10 KDE Plasma Version: 5.14.5 Qt Version: 5.11.3 KDE Frameworks Version: 5.54.0 Kernel Version: 4.19.0-23-amd64 OS Type: 64-bit Processors: 4 × Intel® Core™ i3 CPU 530 @ 2.93GHz Memory: 3.7 GiB of RAM Is this a Debian 10 thing, or a KDE thing? Is there a way I can make the copy stick around?
