avi-player for debian
Hi! Is there player for .avi-files packaged as .deb out there? Or any player capable of playing .avi´s at all? I can´t find any (but that may be ´cause I´m looking in the wrong places etc...). The best player out there is aviplay. Search freshmeat, I think URL is divx.euro.ru -- First there was Explorer... Then came Expedition. This summer Coming to a street near you.. Ford Exterminator. -- Andrei Ivanov http://arshes.dyndns.org [EMAIL PROTECTED] 12402354 --
Re: avi-player for debian
Hi. I use avifile (the library) and avifile-qt (the UI) to play avis (I've only tried it with DivXs though ;). It works quite well. Available from divx.euro.ru. RPMs are available there, but I converted them to debs with alien and they work fine. If you are using woody I would get the .50 rpms instead of the .49 rpms. You also need the win32 dlls, but that is all explained on the web site. Hope this helps. -Jeff Robert Waldner wrote: Hi! Is there player for .avi-files packaged as .deb out there?
