Concordo contigo Terceiro.
do GNOME.

Ah damn, the "9.1" was a typo from me. I experimented with both
Stretch and the testing installations under VirtualBox.
My post was about "testing" which is now "buster", installed from:

I don't know what the package db5.1-util
does. The "blocked update" led me to imagine
that there was some serious bug

Hi Gents,
I recently ran into two problems when installing Debian 9.1 on a system with a
fake intel raid10 using mdadm.
1°) During the disk detection step, the raid array doesn't get activated
properly.
A simple work around is to fall back into a console and run "mdadm --run
/dev/mdXX"
When I boot in rescue mode, I get this message:
Cannot open access to console, the root account is locked. See
sulogin(8) man page for more details
When I press Enter to continue, it continues bootup in normal graphical
mode.
Would it be wiser to unlock the root account, so that I can go

And he sent me more private email, in which he indicates that
it didn't work.
My next suggestion is that he try "aptitude why db5.1-util" in
the hopes
