Since I can print to it, the problem seems likely to be in the way hp-toolbox is reading (or not reading) the CUPS configuration, right? Has anyone else experienced this? How can I troubleshoot this further? Most probably it's due to the following bug http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=452454 If so, then the fix is easy - add yourself to the scanner group, re-login and try running hp-toolbox again. I had the same problem. IIRC, I got over it by deleting .hplip.conf from my home directory. I /might/ have deleted ~/.hplip too, I don't remember. The safest method would be to rename the file and directory and then start hp-toolbox. If your printer is set up with the hp: device, sounds as though it is, because it was working through hp-toolbox before, it should be found. -- Regards _ / ) The blindingly obvious is / _)radnever immediately apparent Black man got a lot of problems, but he don't mind throwing a brick White Riot - The Clash signature.asc Description: PGP signature
