Ahh, udev strikes again, or is at the head of the list of culprits. You'll likely need to add yourself to the scanner: line in the /etc/group file. Mine is an 11x17 Brother, out thru a switch on a piece of cat5 and I had to do that here. > === > $ scanimage -L > No scanners were identified.
