Not sure I understood your question correctly.
You can select Openbox when you see your display manager.

Thank you, Mr. Tomon, for responding to my thread.

Actually, I thought that I would need support to learn using openbox,
but eventually figured the matter out by intuitive exploration and a
little reading.

It is an immense good coincidence that I didn't read the Debian link
https://wiki.debian.org/Openbox#Running_Openbox. I would then
definitely have not even used openbox.

For a first time learner, the material isn't apt. The material should
quickly remove the impediments to have a feel of the GUI environment
by a quick immersion first. Do this and that, have a first feel and
then proceed to learn the finer aspects more and more over time.

Logging on to an OpenBox session from LXDE set up isn't discussed in
the beginning, whereas OpenBox is installed from Live DVD ISOs by
default.

When there wasn't a GUI environment, we were compelled to remain stuck
in CUI. Not now.

Us humans are tuned to learn visually, aurally, tactile, olfaction,
gustatorily the most. Reading, more abstract, comes much later.

I have learnt the first steps. So this thread could be closed.

Best wishes,
Rajib

Dear leaders and senior members of OpenBox mailing list,

Please ignore the earlier post. I figured out how to log on to openbox
session. I will now try to implement the portion:
"...
To have a taskbar on screen, install and use a panel program like
gnome-panel, pypanel, perlpanel or fbpanel.
..."

Panel. If possible, LXDE panel.

Advice on this would help.

Best wishes,
