Bug#775016: ITP: hovercraft -- impress.js presentations by reStructuredText

2015-02-02 Thread Daniel Stender
We've already further proceeded towards a Hovercraft package. The
current status is:

1) python3-svg.path like written above is ready to get uploaded
(sponsored) [1].

2) the maintainer of python-watchdog already reacted [2] and made
a package of python3-pathtools [3], needed for that.

3) Manuel is only needed to the tests, but I found that very interesting
and went for it, too [4].

You can support the release of the Hovercraft Debian package by
sponsoring.

Bug#776892: ITP: python-django-audit-log -- Django app to track changes to models

This python package will automatically track and record all changes to a
Django model.

I am packaging this because an application I use and maintain (not yet
in Debian) requires it.

I plan on mantaining it as part of the Debian python modules team. I
will be building Python2 and Python3 packages.

Bug#670062: RFA: fofix-dfsg -- rhythm game in the style of Rock Band(tm) and Guitar Hero(tm)

2015-02-02 Thread Markus Koschany

There is some activity on github but it seems it is not enough for a new
fofix release

https://github.com/fofix/fofix

The outlined way forward sounds promising:

https://github.com/fofix/fofix/issues/30

Python3 and perhaps pySDL2 might be really an improvement over the
current version. However if there is still no progress in a year from
now on, I think we should consider removing fofix from Debian because it is
quite similar to frets on fire and also unmaintained.

Bug#776850: RFP: sx -- Scalable public and private cloud storage

  Version : 1.0
Upstream Author : Skylable Dev Team dev-t...@skylable.com
* URL : http://www.skylable.com/products/sx
* License : GPL-2 with OpenSSL exception
  Programming Lang: C
Description : Scalable public and private cloud storage

Skylable Sx is a reliable, fully distributed cluster solution for your data
 storage needs.
 .
With Sx you can aggregate the disk space available on multiple servers and
merge it into a single storage system.
The cluster makes sure that your data is always replicated over multiple nodes
(the exact number of copies is defined by the sysadmin) and synchronized.
 .
Additionally Sx has built-in support for deduplication, client-side
encryption, on-the-fly compression and much more.

I am part of the upstream developers, and we would welcome if a DD (team) would
submit and maintain this package in Debian.
We are interested in helping with the packaging and applying bugfixes upstream.

Description : An XBill fork but with Lennart and SystenD instead of Bill

Ever get the feeling that nothing is going right? You're a sysadmin, and
someone's trying to destroy your computers. The little people running around
the screen are trying to infect your computers with SystenD [TM], a virus
cleverly designed to resemble a popular init system. Your objective is to
click the mouse on them, ending the potential threat. If one of the people
reaches a computer, it will attempt to replace your operating system with the
virus it carries. It will then attempt to run off the screen with your vital
software. The game ends when only 1 (or 0) of your computers are being
productive. Additionally, some computers are connected with network cables.
When one computer on a network becomes infected, a spark will be sent down
the cable, and will infect the computer on the other end when it reaches
there.

__

 why is this package useful/relevant?

https://github.com/Xylemon/xlennart already has 43 stars (since November of
2014). People like this game.

is it a dependency for another package?

No.

 do you use it?

No.

if there are other packages providing similar functionality, how does it
 compare?

This's a fork of XBill. Everything the same, just with Lennart and SystenD
instead of Bill and Wingdows.

how do you plan to maintain it?

Just maintain it without any team.

inside a packaging team (check list at https://wiki.debian.org/Teams)?

No. And I'm not a debian-developer.

 are you looking for co-maintainers?

No. But I can work in team. :)

 do you need a sponsor?

Yes.

Description : A user-level daemon that monitors NUMA topology and
processes resource consumption to facilitate good NUMA resource access of
applications/virtual machines to improve performance and minimize cost of
remote memory latencies.

numad is a daemon that monitor processes and their distribution on a
NUMA system, it will try to join all threads of the same process on the
same node (if memory allows it).

i use it on production for some time now, it give to me good results on
kvm virtual machines.

i plan to co-maintain it, but neither of the maintainers are DD so an
sponsor will be needed, i'm DM.
