Hi,
Am I mistaken, or didn't Declude used to detect (and report) BOGUS reverse DNS? I was shocked today when I realized that an email from this address did NOT trigger "REVDNS": 63.138.145.66 While that IP address does have some PTR record to host 63-138-145-66.customer.static.ip.paetec.net, that host does NOT exist (it doesn't have any "A" or "CNAME" record in the forward DNS). Now I DO understand and agree, that the forward DNS doesn't have to agree with the reverse DNS (e.g., they don't have to point to each other). But I was convinced that Declude in the past did detect a bogus Reverse DNS which points "nowhere"? If not, then it definitely should (to be consistent with the "HELOBOGUS" test). The HELOBOGUS test doesn't just accept some correctly "formatted" host name, it must at least resolve. Best Regards, Andy --- This E-mail came from the Declude.JunkMail mailing list.
