Which version of Junkmail does this exe include?

The Declude.exe file contains all the Declude products, so they will always
be running the same version. In this case, no noticeable changes were made
to Declude JunkMail, but it is still considered v1.61.

WOW, thanks for being so proactive.

This is one of the reasons that makes Declude such a great product. Goes
way beyond using virus definitions, (via a 3rd party scanner,) to
prevent viruses.

We're at the very beginning of a new beta cycle (the last released version
was released about two weeks ago), so it is very hard to tell. If there
are no reported issues with 1.61, we may decide to have a new release
within the next few weeks with the new code. However, it is likely that
this may follow the normal beta cycle, which would mean that the next
released version may not be for another 2-3 months.

If you still have one of the D*.SMD files that was quarantined, you can
send it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] (and let me know that you have done so, as
that address isn't monitored), and we can test it here.

I can't be sure that this is related, but since I've installed 1.61 I
started getting some messages from Amazon.com being caught by BANEXT
com
when they don't appear to have an attachment with a .com extension.

This actually appears to be an issue that started in v1.48. Before
that,
Declude Virus would look for begin XXX to identify the start of a
uuencoded attachment (where XXX is a number, usually 666, indicating
Unix
file permissions). Starting with v1.48, Declude got a bit more
aggressive,
and figured that a line starting with begin that contained a . in
it
could be the beginning of a MIME segment.

v1.62 will go back to the original method, which won't be quite as
sensitive.
