Hi everyone
I am trying to compile an application written in Delphi 5 and back end sql
server 2000. But i get an error saying duplicate resource. I am not sure
whats exactly happening i even try to rename the res file of the application
thinking it might help but unfortunatly that dint worked.
It can happen if you two forms with the same name

I haven't, although to be honest I was too worried about update issues
to apply Update 2 to one of my installs. The system with Update 2
installed was a fresh installation.
If I do go to update 3 (I will probably just compile in the VCL source
since there are no new IDE features) I will uninstall

Yes. I got errors loading IndySystem100.bpl and RemObjects_Indy.bpl.
I don't actually use either so it's not a show stopper.
I believe Indy was breaking so you need to recompile the packages.

Have updated. It was a slow process and I had to reinstall some
component help files but it fixes my vista screen corruption problem,
which I recently whined about.
It seems great. However Im not so fused by the new load screen.

You mean RAD Studio 2007 now :-) Although you can still purchase Delphi
on its own, which is a bit weird, but understandable.

BTW, Developer Express have decided to drop support for Delphi 5 in future
releases. Since they provide a large chunk of our third party components
that pretty much confirms we will be upgrading to Delphi 2008 when it comes

Are you running as an administrator? It is probably trying to write to
the delphi32.dsk file in the bin folder (which if you installed to the
default location - is a no-no in Vista).
You try and change the folder priviledges (don't know if that will work).

This happens when one try to edit the .dfm file also. So check that.
Delete all the generated .dcu files and rebuild the project.
