I think size 14 or bigger for both the labels and the text box would be

I have problems to run rhythmbox under xubuntu 6.06 because it is very slow.
Using strace rhythmbox, I get the following output:

You can access it's menu by right clicking on the 'grey coloured' area
of the applet.
That would have the options 'Refresh' 'Preferences'. Through
'Prefereces' you can set watch on different stock rates.

With Deskbar applet 2.16.0 (edgy beta) I don't have this behaviour any
more. It seems that pressing return does not work until the list is
updated to include all typed characters.
Unfortunately, this means that if I type whateverENTER, the default
action will not be triggered if I have not waited

This bug happens with version 2.16.0-0ubuntu2 shipped with edgy beta.
Firstly, use the deskbar applet as usual. For example, let's earch for 'Ubuntu'
in wikipedia.
The behaviour compared to Dapper seems to have changed since the typed text is
_not_ cleared after triggering

Booting up into Gnome or XGL/Gnome reports no errors but the menu bars
on the top and bottom do not start. This makes the desktop effectively
useless. There is also no normal way to log out. I have to turn off
the computer. KDE seems to be unaffected.
