The 'wacom' section in xorg.conf was causing trouble for others. You could try
to
* make a backup of /etx/X11/xorg.conf
* comment out the complete section and
* restart X

The Edgy Install was an upgrade from Dapper. Yesterday, I did a fresh
install of Edgy using the Alt. Install CD. Today, the first cold boot
startup, worked fine. It's likely the laptop was gunked up by either the
Upgrade (less likely) or me adding and removing software or tweaks over
time (most

you use? From where do you dnd those files? Are you using nautilus? Are
your link an example or a screenshot to attach to the bug? In which case
you can use the left column option for that

Thank you for the details. It might be one instance started by the
session and one other by the crash handler. Marking as unconfirmed until
somebody else confirm the issue, that's probably something to forward
upstream. About the crash, could you unset the /apps/bug-
buddy/run_on_crash gconf key
