i couldn't reproduce this bug, i try to import to a directory linked to
another filesystem's directory and nothing weird happened, just for fun,
also did it to an another hard drive, all works as should, could you

Just use 'extract' here or install another program instead of file-roller and
associate that with archives.
This bug has been going on for a while now, I'm not sure when (if ever) they
are going to fix this. Maybe if you're any good with C you can take a look?

The steps i took that caused this problem was:
1. I Logout using the Quit Option
2. I Log Back into my account
3. It lets me log in successfully with everything on my desktop
4. The Bottom Panel then appears and then dissapears quickly
5. I right click where the Panel used to be and then it
