My system is fully updated as of today and It's a i386 running on a
vmware environment.
I simply re-run the test program
(https://bugs.freedesktop.org/attachment.cgi?id=13753) and the generated
pdf file now embed the image correctly.

Seb after today's 5/02/08 update the tar.gz file now works fine.
However the .ogg files are now unreadable. I'll try again on Kubuntu
and let you know if they have been corrupted but the player itself can
still play the files so i'm guessing they are fine.

on any mp3 file I've tried. With VLC player there is no problem as far as I can
see.

Pedro, it is not the cd icon, but just a normal file icon (a .iso file).
Moreover I have the same problem also with other file types (tar.gz and
others).
