nautilus 2.23 is already in intrepid, there is no reason to downgrade,
you didn't test correctly the update though, new tarballs have been
rolled since to fix bugs introduced in this update which means that's
not a good candidate for a stable update

Confirmed - after installing Icedtea plugin and OpenJDK Java applets works on
