I've a fixed gnome-control-center and gnome-settings-daemon in my PPA.
They both check for the existence of the Synaptics Off XInput device
property. gnome-settings-daemon also sets everything via XInput
properties, meaning that awfulness can be dropped from -synaptics.

Turns out /bin/sh symlinks to /bin/dash, a strict POSIX-compliant
minimalist shell from Debian. My scripts were expecting bash, and none
of them were being triggered for this reason. Problem solved.

I deleted all the Inbox files in ~/.evolution/mail/local/ and then copied an
older backup in its place. I would recommend moving not affected emails to
an subfolder and moving the Inbox files to another location (ex. mv Inbox* ~

I confirm this. Same problem on MacBook Pro Santa Rosa. Gutsy worked
perfectly - the capslock led was indicating keyboard layout, after
upgrade to Hardy the led indicated capslock key pressed (it is CTRL in
my layout) but not the layout change.

Confirming on Kubuntu 8.04.1.
No problem with Firefox 2.x, the bug presented itself after upgrading to
firefox 3.
Selecting a theme other than QT for GTK apps is a workaround, but
degrades the visual experience.

I can't do a backtrace because I'm getting dependency errors when trying to
install the dbgsym packages listed on the wiki...I may need someone to help
me walk through it. Is there a place I could get live support (IM, IRC,

Hi,
So, I just remembered to test this on Intrepid, and it now
no longer launches rhythmbox, and launches nautilus instead,
so I am closing this report.

Hi,
In this case you would need to set the Virtual setting in you
xorg.conf. The capplet should tell you to do this, and in new versions
will do so, and with screen-resolution-extra installed offer to do it.

Sabastien, are you saying that my comments about this same bug are not
appropriate here because I use KDE? I'm not familiar with the ubuntu bug
process but should I really have to raise another bug with exactly the
same title and description but assigned to a different ubuntu package?

I've found the solution to my issue here :

First I backup the entire .evolution folder (just in case) : $ cp -R
.evolution .evolution.bak
Then I rename (I could have deleted it) the ev-summary file of one of
the impaired folder, so
I would like to confirm that Add/Remove contains two instances of Remote
Desktop Viewer (vinagre).

Also having this happen--not sure when this started. Tried to add a
