I have the same problem, clock in panel freezes without any obvious
reason. There is nothing I can relate this behavior to. In panel clock
does freeze, but when I open clock applet it shows correct time.
Interesting in my case is that same time when clock freeze my network
manager icon becomes
there's no logs there that may indicate the issue instead there's a
totem-gstreamer no such issue? which version of totem do you have
installed? is this still an issue? could be another dvd encrypted disc
not working which is a known issue, thanks.

I managed to get it working again somehow.
1. I downgraded ghostscript gs-gpl, gs, ghostscript-x, etc. to hardy (v. 8.61),
which caused errors.
2. I upgraded back to intrepid's version.
3. I replaced /usr/bin/cifmp610 with the canon original packaged version.

I reconfigured my gnome gpg settings in system-preferences-encryption and set
do not remember password.
Since then enigmail asked everytime I opened a mail though I set remember for

This has been reverted upstream, just to let you know. They realized it
was a little stupid since we don't get much advantages and break
compatibility. Expecting users to update their firmwares is not an
option, they won't understand the problem (sometimes it even requires
Windows to do so...).
I now have all the packages that are generated by the source package
poppler, version 0.10.3-0ubuntu1, and recompiled intrepid's evince. I

From what I understand you would need to upgrade to 2.6.27-11-generic
from intrepid-proposed and then mount the samba filesystems using mount
(not gvfs) and the nodfs option, if you always want the filesystem
mounted you can add it to /etc/fstab.

I think this is actually a bug in the applet. The applet starts in the
Panel phase, so is meant to signal to gnome-session when it has done
loading, but it doesn't appear to do that. Incidentally, I think this
same issue is causing a race between the panel and the applet, which
I am now typing from a jaunty alpha 3 live usb pen. I upgraded the
system, I correctly got an update of evince and libpoppler. But the bug
is still there.

Non unread vFolders still have a wrong unread message count for me.
In general this new Evolution (since intrepid) is handling read/unread
count totally wrong. Can we hope in another minor release in the
future?

System freezes after editing ubuntu main applications menu list

I just booted into the live system of daily-live 20090116.3 (amd64).
Still a problem: Printing one page (the same as I tested above) as .pdf
produces a 2.1 M file. Looking at it in evince shows blurry equations
and text, though after 3-4 min(!) the quality gets better. Does it take
so long to
