In the edit Message Filter I always have to resize the window as some of
the auto generatate descriptions are a bit long. This resize is not
permanent, next time I try to edit my filters it is back to its
original size.

I realize that I haven't explained myself very well: when I wrote GNOME
Desktop I didn't mean the whole GNOME application but only the portion
of screen on which the wallpaper is drawn (BTW, the wallpaper is the
only thing that is displayed correctly on it).

the behaviour is an upstream decision not a bug, you should discuss it
upstream and not there
So, Ubuntu describes such a remark as invalid, and says that I should
not discuss it there.
I would like to know where you read that someone took the decision
that a right click on the desktop
If so, why alsa master is not selected? this is clearly a bug. It's a
coincidence that it works as expected

Sorry for choosing the wrong package and thank you for your quick
response. By unrensponsive I mean that it does not respond to commands
at all, in particular:
1) No icons are displayed on it, even though the Desktop folder is not empty
and they all displayed correctly in Intrepid
2) Right
