I think you're missing the point.
Add a gnome-panel launcher (temporarily, of course) to screen 1 which
launches the hacked gnome-terminal. Then use that to make it appear on
the *wrong* screen. **What I most need the output of is a run where

This crash happened while downloading a file from a web site in Firefox.
The only other thing open at the time was a Bash shell, which was not in

Rhythmbox often crashes or else stops downloading sometimes when trying to
download or update podcasts and on some possibly random occasions, when
When right-clicked some photo image and selected Properties, nautilus
crashes with a floating point exception (this do not happen to all my
photos, but just to some apparently random ones).

nautilus crash right clicking on Properties of an image
I have the same behavior -- blink on bootup, showing the last messages
from /etc/init.d/scripts, and then the login window with autologin not
working.
This is on an EeePC 900 with an Intel 915GM/GMS/910GML running Intrepid.
