Hi Tony,
I have got the wireless working. It seems when the kernel was updated the
new broadcom modules were not built. I rebooted with an older kernel and the
wireless started working. I then updated the system again and the broadcom
modules were built, thus solving the problem.

Right now , nautilus is using 195MiB memory [~10%] and i'v been running the
system continuously for 24 hrs.
Run the valgrind from the start of the sssion and get back after 1 day
:)

I've merged some other bugs about the same problem into this one as
duplicates, but I'm worried about it not copying the packages that are
affected or upstream bugs. Do I need to manually move all those things
to this bug, too?

karmic nautilus fails to run as root
i spend the last half hour to make a simple testcase for a bug accepted
and fixed upstream and i just couldn't isolate it. I give up now and
just don't care about this stubborn behavior...

For ssh disks: Yes.
I can mount the remote disk using:
$ gvfs-mount sftp://${SERVER}/${PATH}
...or using Connect to Server... dialog and Service Type: SSH. The effect is
the same. In these ways, it is not using sshfs. A folder appears on the
desktop, instead of a disk. If I unmount this folder

do you experience the same problem with time-admin and services-admin?
Yes I do, for time-admin, services-admin, and of course users-admin
system-tools-backends is indeed started prior to this error
