Typing xqd in OpenOffice.org in Karmic works correctly. Arora browser
(QT-based) works correctly.
Firefox shows the issue. Also verified on Epiphany browser, and Gedit.

Maybe pidgin should be the default IM program again, since Empathy is not
ready yet for security reasons. Empathy still will be in main repos if
somebody want it...

Not sure if this the same as bug #405544 - when I try and burn FLAC files to CD
a box comes up normalizing audio tracks.
30 minutes later and it's still there and CPU has gone to %100.
Shut down brasero but cpu still %100.

I ran an update yesterday and it changed my screen resolution to 800X600
and it won't let me use my nvidia drivers to change it back. Using
Ubuntu 8.04.

I am running the KK RC1 Live cd, and have been trying to get audio but
can't seem to. Here are the fishy bits;
I have an M-Audio Delta 44 pci soundcard with breakaway box. This system works
just fine in 9.04 and 8.10.
In Sound Preferences, the card is listed as ICE1712 PCI

I just did a fresh install, and I'm still getting the errors just after
Xsplash changes to Gnome (I completely wiped the hard drive and re-
partitioned from scratch). This time I'm not running UNR, I'm running
vanilla Ubuntu Desktop. I did not copy over any configuration files

ok, after much playing around with this. I can tell you that the bug is
not in gnome-power-manager.
I've been debugging gnome-power-manager and decided that the bug was
either in xrandr or somewhere else.
So I installed xubuntu with xfce and my brightness issue was still
there. So back to the
Can confirm it still occurs under 9.04 with Updates, but works correctly
under Fedora 11 -- haven't tried 9.10 yet, will add a comment to this
bug when I do.
I can open a bugreport upstream if it is still considered an upstream
issue.
