I can confirm this; gnome power manager seems to calculate the battery
lifetime by averaging discharge rate over a period of time. It seems
that this value is also taken into account while the laptop is still
plugged in. This is leading to a higher battery lifetime estimation.

The youtube plugin does not need to be disabled, it needs to be fixed and it
can't be that difficult as for example minitube also still works. Until this

Same behavior with fr_FR : if the new password is to close to the old
one (according to passwd), the password change window will let you close
the window after clicking on the "change password" (or "apply" ?)
button, but the password has not been changed, and there has been no
feedback about that.
I have found a solution for my problem. I 've just use my USB on a
computer with Windows, and surprise, there is no more problem on my
Ubuntu.

I second comment #5. I'd much prefer that behavior, and at least having
the option would be good.
(Yes, you can hack it by going to gconf-editor as the right user and
setting /apps/gdm/simple-greeter/disable_user_list to true, but even
that doesn't work quite as expected anymore: You have to cli

if i checked that box and play game, it was not applied...

karmic: f-spot doesn't start, crashes with SqliteSyntaxException

I did a fresh ubuntu install last week, but I was unable to start f-spot
from the beginning.
Today I removed and reinstalled f-spot, but it still won't start.
When run from the terminal, it looks like this:

I have the same problem, but if you:
- Change the screen resolution to a lower one
- Change again to the correct screen resolution
the problem gets solved. It's a pity that after restart the problem
comes back.
