When I'm installing something via apt-get install xxx for example, the
system monitor displays a download rate of about 700-800 kiB/s, but only
380 are possible. Apt-get displays the correct download rate of about
380 kb/s.

I've had this same symptom pretty much since upgrading to 9.04. Wasn't an issue
in 8.10.

Hi Pedro, good news, the latest system update for Brasero seems to have
fixed the copy issue for me. (Brasero still asks what to do with the
blank disk it had asked for as part of the copy procedure, but hey
closing the box allows the copy procedure to continue uninterupted)

Since I switched to Ubuntu 9.10 I have the Gnome Network Manager showing a
signal strength of 2/4, while it was 4/4 on Ubuntu 9.04. Also iwconfig says

On the other hand, if this contact phone calls me, I hear a ringing
sound. If I press a button to accept this call, a new window will open
showing the identity of the contact but a conversation (lasting
connection) will not be established, and the window will disappear after
a while.

keyboard export in the ubuntu team and nobody seems to have a clue about
what to change there

Also, I have noticed that in Compiz Settings Manager that under
General/Display Settings that the Outputs box was showing 640x480
instead of 1920x1080 that it used to show. I also can no longer use the
mouse wheel to rotate the desktop cube.

I had been trying out the Compiz Enhanced Zoom Desktop in Twinview and
got my cursor locked onto the other screen and was unable to get back to
the Compiz window so that I could undo my problem. I rebooted and that
got rid of Twinview and I was able
