I'm reporting this as a gtk problem because this bug does not occur in KDE 3 or
KDE 4 applications, only in gnome ones.
The problem is that when Multiple MPX cursors are on the same gtk window, they
are both the same, even if one was over text and another is over a button.

I am just unsure if this bug qualifies for a papercut, though.
Of course it does :-) The page describes a papercut as a trivially
fixable usability bug that the average user would encounter in default
installation of Ubuntu or Kubuntu Desktop Edition and I am sure that
most users will have had
The change won't be backported to 8.10. It doesn't meet the SRU criteria
detailed in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates, the changes
are non-trivial and affect a core component of the desktop (gnome-
session), and 8.10 is End-Of-Life in 3 months anyway.

Just want to bump this bug to make sure it's still being looked at. I'm
still having this issue with Ubuntu 9.04. My library is 2.2gb and after
leaving Rhythmbox open for 6 hours Rhythmbox is using just shy of 900MB
of ram. For those of us with only 2GB of ram this is a serious hog, plus

I get the same result as described by other writers. My microphone is recorded
quite well and reproduced with a Windows operating system, but not with Ubuntu
9.04. So there is no problem with the hardware.
