I've just discovered this bug with Lucid using dual monitors (laptop
internal LVDS 1280x800 and external DVI-D 1280x1024) using 'twin-view
(not separate X screens).
When (in this case) the lower panel properties are set to Show Hide
buttons the result of clicking the buttons is not to hide the

4. Drag to folders
1) Well, huh, Gnome crashes on any attempt to connect with external FTP server
by Gnome menu. Connection by gFTP comes without problems, so, for shure, it's
Gnome bug.
2) Of course I expect to connect with server normally, as it was with Karmic
and other previous versions.
3) Gnome panels
For the record, I just reverted all the the - this and your
computer - the computer changes. There is really no point breaking
hundreds of translations for such small details. This sort of change
will either get applied upstream, nor not at all, sorry.

I upgraded my system from Karmic to Lucid Beta 1, and now I can't use
Shift+left arrow or right arrow to select one character at a time. These
keyboard shortcuts result in garbage on command line:

I set up a jabber-account in empathy and joined the ubuntu-chatroom
ubuntu-jabber.de in order to test video-telephony of empathy. On the
