Confirmed in Ubuntu Lucid, beta 2. Autofs still created the /smb folder
with 755 permissions, as root. This means that regardless of your
credentials, you can't write the resulting folder/share.

I'm reopening this report because I can reproduce on Lucid and it's clearly
broken.
username/password are not always exported in *_proxy.
Env variable are created in caps and when the proxy is remove only the *_PROXY
are removed from env.

In current lucid with all updates I can reproduce a segmentation fault
in gnome-appearance-properties in the following way:
1) open Appearance
2) choose Dust theme
3) customize and choose Human icon theme
4) go back to main theme tab and choose ambiance
5) result: it crashes every single time
I had this same issue with Karmic. It seems gnome-power-manager gets
confused when the laptop lid is closed and an external monitor is used
instead as the primary display. I wrote a script to set the monitor to
standby and I run it in System,Preferences,Startup Applications.

/desktop/gnome/interface/can_change_accels in gconf-editor first, but
that worked like a charm.

Because of this bug I am unable to trust any RAID arrays created with
this tool. I am trying to create a RAID 0 array and install Ubuntu
10.04 daily live CD onto the RAID array. This bug is blocking my
install. Please fix. Every time I click the create button in the RAID
creation dialog box it

If i try to view the contents of this folder /usr/share/inkscape/examples
Nautilus crashes and
all desktop icons disappear, right clicking on the desktop does nothing, I got
the following from /var/log/syslog, seem to be related to a long standing bug
in the svg library used by nautilus
Oh forgot to mention that i am using Karmic, Ubuntu 9.1 I have a feeling
that this will still be in Lucid.
