I don't think this is a FSpot problem, because I am having the same
issue (or similar) in Kibuntu 10.04: When I tried copying files from a
Kodak Easyshare CD14 camera, plasma crashed and now the camera shuts off
whenever it's plugged in via USB.

With Ubuntu 10.04 I get an invalid argument when attempting to use Nautilus to
transfer files to my NAS server via SMB.
Hint: Using Nautilus to transfer via SMB to a NAS server works for me under
Ubuntu 8.04.3, but Nautilus with 10.04 does not work for me. This problem is
fixed by using GNOME

- Rhythmbox on Lucid makes Firefly installed on my ARM server crashed,
but *NOT* my other Firefly installed on another Pentium server
- Banshee works well with both servers
- Some fellows on the upstream Rhythmbox bug report

I can confirm this bug.
To reproduce the bug:
1. open nautilus.
2. Select File-Connect to Server. This will open a Connect To Server window.
3. Under Server Type, choose entry to connect to a server you are allowed and
fill in required information, e.g.: host, login name, etc...
