gnome-vfs has been deprecated and superseded by gio/gvfs since GNOME
2.22, hence mass-closing many of the gnome-vfs requests/bug reports.
This means that gnome-vfs is NOT actively maintained anymore, however
patches are still welcome.
If your reported issue is still valid for gio/gvfs, please

I'm having this issue right now on 16.04. What's strange, is that if I
copy say 600GB worth of thousands of files, about half way through, Xorg
will start chewing up resources, and everything slows down to a hault,
even though literally the only thing I ever opened was Nautilus. I
never opened
Same issue here, upgraded from 16.04 to 16.10, the desktop was blank,
and Nautilus wouldn't launch.
Solved by $ sudo rm -rf ~/.config/nautilus $

Nairwolf, please report a new bug. Since gimp does show in the Software
app in 16.04 LTS, the fact that it does not show in 16.10 is a different
bug.

It seems to be a problem with a library called "cogl".
There is some information there:
http://askubuntu.com/questions/794529/amdgpu-pro-install-on-ubuntu-gnome-16-04-with-r9-285-and-rx-480
It looks like there is a mismatch between the OpenGL context version
created and the shader version used.

For years they lived together in Ubuntu an installer programs and Synaptic. And
both did the same.
All the more reason to have two different installers for different
package formats.

I've got the same problem: I'm running Lubuntu 14.04 32bit (this is a
very old pc) and Evolution 3.10.04. When I try to set up my email using
EWS, I get repeated password prompts. Has anyone managed to get this
working using Lubuntu?
