Hello,
I just noticed that Nautilus (or Ubuntu/GNOME cannot open all .jpg (or .gif)
type images.
The image has been attached.
When I rename the image to .webm, then Nautilus/GNOME can open/show it.
Sorry for the content of the image. (no intent to shock annyone).

It's not the first bug who is not fixed in one or more years, the
problem is, when you invite new users to discover ubuntu, at a time,
they will need to connect their phone on their computer, and they will
say: This doesn't work, and the fix (via mtpfs-go) is complicated for
basic users.
Today
as of this morning's updates, this problem seems to have disappeared.
I've been able to log out and back in several times to my ubuntu wayland
session, at least on my i915 machine (the dell laptop).
nb: this morning's updates updated gnome-session-bin and ubuntu-session
to 3.33.92-1ubuntu1, gdm3
