is still valid, at least on my Ubuntu 18.04LTS. I'm commenting here
because I was asked to on my other report. According to comments made

The problem description
If I open up a .deb file to install the package, it opens up the gnome-software
GUI window, with the install button.
If the package manager APT is in use somewhere, either you left an "apt

enlarged components on lock/login screen
To manage
I had the same issue with Firefox on Arch Linux and LXDE. The "Open
containing folder" in Firefox was opening the Elementary Code editor.
The solution described in rmoorman's comment #16 also worked for me.
I had to update /usr/share/applications/mimeinfo.cache ,
and change the line:
Worked for me too

I don't believe this is related to Dropbox, as I had what appears to be
the same bug happen to me (crash with SIGSEGV, very shortly after login)
but do not have Dropbox installed. This is a clean install of 20.04.

@Bob Lawrence (pilotbob42) I don't have .xprofile but i created it my
home folder like you suggested and added the text, mine was HDMI3.
Unfortunately it doesn't seem to do anything.
I also observed that changing the DPI solves the issue on most distros I tried.
But i don't like any other DPI
