They broke it again. Ubuntu 11.04 EOG version 2.32.1 junks the file menu entirely. (Quite probably from a misreading of an old Gnome Guideline that explains how task based applications that do not work with files do not need to have a file menu, but Images are files.) It is a less memorable

Synaptic is used for the installation. I did check to see what synaptic looked like and concluded I wasn't using Synaptic. I had to ask on IRC where was the right place to file the report the issue and was told it was gnome-app-install :P cant win! I am not sure if I should the change
