[Bug 475385] Re: unlock dialog is unresponsive after wake up from suspend

2010-03-09 Thread Andy Buckley
+1 for fixing this: the cursor is also unresponsive for these initial few seconds after the password dialog appears. Not a show-stopper, but a certainly a paper cut :) I only started seeing this after upgrading to Karmic. Other related keywords, in case the Launchpad search can pick them up:

[Bug 316366] Re: keyboard layout add selection bug

2009-11-30 Thread Andy Buckley
Is this a different kind of drop-down list widget from usual? Most GTK drop-down menus support the jump to character behaviour... otherwise we wouldn't expect it. Is it possible to work-around by using the normal widget in this panel? -- keyboard layout add selection bug

[Bug 150702] Re: alt shift tab stopped navigating windows

2009-11-03 Thread Andy Buckley
Another +1 to an SRU. BTW, this is also fixable by installing compizconfig-settings-manager and setting the Prev window key binding in the Static Application Switcher plugin config (it's disabled by default). I don't know if that configurator is tweaking the Metacity gconf db behind the scenes,

[Bug 282326] Re: Power Manager plugin prevents Suspend when not playing music

2009-03-22 Thread Andy Buckley
I just saw this downgraded to Low Importance... seriously? It's a bug that means laptops running Ubuntu will refuse to syspend or hibernate because you played some music on it... it's been a serious stability problem for me since I started using Intrepid. Possibly this also has some interaction

[Bug 282326] Re: Power Manager plugin prevents Suspend when not playing music

2009-03-22 Thread Andy Buckley
Thanks Sebastien! I must not read the original description properly and thought that power manager plugin was referring to the Gnome power manager! didn't even know about the existence of the RB power plugin until you mentioned it, and certainly have no idea how it got enabled... but I was very

[Bug 223772] Re: hibernate, suspend occasionally missing from shutdown menu

2008-11-21 Thread Andy Buckley
I keep seeing this problem --- it regularly ( 50% of the time?) stops me from being able to suspend. Even more annoying, the log-out menu sometimes pops up several minutes after requesting it: by this time if I've decided to leave it unsuspended and left the room, the 60 sec timeout will turn the

[Bug 223772] Re: hibernate, suspend occasionally missing from shutdown menu

I'm using an up-to-date Intrepid, by the way. -- hibernate, suspend occasionally missing from shutdown menu https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/223772 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Desktop Bugs, which is subscribed to gnome-power-manager in ubuntu. --

[Bug 282326] Re: Power Manager plugin prevents Suspend when not playing music

2008-11-07 Thread Andy Buckley
I can verify this. When Rhythmbox is closed, if I try to hibernate or suspend, I get a notification dialog which says: Request to do policy action: Music Player has stopped the policy action from taking place: Playing It doesn't time-out... I left my laptop overnight in this state in the hope

[Bug 223772] Re: hibernate, suspend occasionally missing from shutdown menu

2008-10-21 Thread Andy Buckley
I am seeing the same problem now with Ubuntu Intrepid beta (as apt- updated yesterday). Hibernate and suspend definitely work fine, but sometimes when I press the power button or menu to System Shut down..., the log-out menu takes a long time to appear (or doesn't appear at all) and when/if it

[Bug 257108] Re: Tomboy syncing should use a proper merging algorithm

2008-09-16 Thread Andy Buckley
Yes, see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=552273 Apparently it *should* work, but is pretty fragile against unordered syncs... fragile enough that it's never been usable for me (and requires that you *know* it's okay to overwrite the existing note). I'm going to test if it works when

[Bug 235071] Re: f-spot fails to export to a Folder

2008-06-30 Thread Andy Buckley
I'm also seeing this problem (the object reference warning for every photo), even after installing the 4.3.1 Folder export plugin. I also can't uninstall the 4.3.0 version, although I can disable it - I don't know if that would be a problem. Andy -- f-spot fails to export to a Folder
