I have the same problem on an updated (as of 2008-10-04) Intrepid, with
4 cities (Ängelholm, Stockholm, Umeå and Niagra Falls) defined. I have
to set the home location every time I log in.
I don't have any /etc/timezone

system beep since the snd_pcsp has been blacklisted. The Alert sound in

I do not expect a 100% stable environment.

I would have expected the google-account-setup plugin to show up in the
plugin manager. As far as I can tell the google-account-setup plugin is
not shipped with the deb at all, unless I'm missing something.

It's a bit hard to increase the max open files limit as an ordinary user
when the default hard limit is 1024.
ulimit/limit is builtin in the shell, so you have to check the man page
of the shell.
