Binary package hint: evince
Our invoices are set in 10.5 pt DejaVu Sans Mono in PDF. Since upgrading
from jaunty to karmic, evince prints them with what appears to be font
size 10, as if the non-integer part of the number was truncated. On
screen rendering is correct,

I had this problem with Inkscape. It often happened within a few minutes from
starting Inkscape. Thanks for the workaround!
Here's a slightly simpler procedure for the same workaround:
1. Edit ~/.scim/config and set /FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic = true
2. Make the file immutable: sudo chattr +i
Public bug reported:
The shutdown applet in the upper right corner is very close to the X
of an application that is maximized. This apparently confuses my dad,
who has several times got the shut down dialog when he just wanted to
close a window.
He used Windows XP before, in which the X to close
