Since installing Ubuntu 24.04, every now and then Night Light gets stuck
when my screen is locked at night and I unlock it in the morning. The
screen is then very orange (more so than normally is the case with Night
Light), and disabling it with the button in in the top bar

converted to a comma, as it used to be in older gnome-calculator
releases.

I noticed that both the Firefox and Chromium snaps do work in Debian 11,
which uses an older xdg-desktop-portal than Ubuntu 22.04. I wondered

Tweaks from Yaru to Adwaita or sticking with Yaru and removing the gtk-

flicker back and forth during boot / loading the splash page as it looks

I just got hit with this bug as well. Fresh Ubuntu 18.10 install on a
Desktop (Ryzen 2995x, 32GB RAM, Vega 64, 250GB NVMe /, and 1TB Evo 860
SSD /home) with two monitors (1 vertical using DP, and one horizontal
using HDMI), only thing I did post install was install a few flatpaks
from flathub
I did some random trial and error debugging.
There's always a login screen on console 1 and there's always a desktop
GUI on console 2. It's sometimes waking from sleep into display 2 while
still locked. There's a dock, a system menu, and random bitmap garbage.
Hitting CTRL-ALT-F1 goes to the

Last night the screen timed out but did not lock as the lock is set to happen
at 30 minutes but the blank screen at 10 min.

I would like to add that the bug occurs after swiping the notification screen
up.

so i flashed the latest RTM on krillin using --wipe, the device just had vivid
installed
upon boot i saw the eula prompt for gps in the welcome wizard
did some testing, needed to reflash, again to RTM using --wipe
this time, there was no prompt in the welcome wizard for the
so the root cause of the media-hub issues is thot to be that notifications is a
client of media hub (so lots of create/destroy) which in turn leaves dead objs
on dbus which results in the mutex lock signature seen in comment #4.
There is a fix for this, branches linked.

It's definitely related to podcasts. Everything worked fine for me
until I started adding podcast subscriptions. It synced fine the first
time, then crashed every subsequent time. When I deselected podcasts
from the sync options on the iPod, it works fine. When I reselect it,
it crashes again.

FWIW, on my (6-year-old) desktop under 14.04 LTS running on an Intel®
Core™2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GHz × 2 System Monitor still takes around
20-30% CPU time (I checked both g-s-m and top).
