libgtkada2 usable since zenity is a dependency of several core Ubuntu

Isn't this supposed to be for fixing annoyances. Yes it's relatively
easy to reconfigure this, in fact it's one of the first things I change

I'm having the same issue but have found a repeatable case. Everything
loads fine on session start. The desktop disappears when I cut & paste
from a local filesystem to a SFTP share in nautilus.
I can work-around the problem by copy/pasting instead of cut/pasting.

I ran a script to use "pdftext" to extract the text of this PDF, then
use "iconv" to display the text of the PDF in each possible converted
encoding.
Could you try this:
- Open a terminal window
- Change directory to where your problem .pdf file is located
- Run: pdftotext tmp.txt
- Run: ico
Interesting problem. I can confirm that I see the "disorder codes" (what
should be Chinese characters, I assume, are interpreted as a different
encoding and displayed as "garbage" characters) in evince as well.

After bug# 334824 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/334824) was fixed I
can enter my username for my Google Calendar and get a list of
calenadars from my Google account, but I Evolution never downloads
events from my Google Calendar.

Haven't seen any issues with it in other applications.
The only problem outstanding that the patch doesn't address is that
there's currently no easily configurable way to change which lcd filter
to use (lcddefault, lcdlegacy, lcdlight, etc.) except to change the xrdb
In the CD-ROM case (bug #353548), the workaround/fix for this is to add
"mode=0444" to the following gconf key:
/system/storage/default_options/iso9660/mount_options
This results in all files on CD-ROMs being mounted without the
executable flag set, unless the CD-ROM has Rock-Ridge extensions th

I do have the updated gnome-settings-daemon and still have the wrong brightness
notifications. I will wait for a few days and see if this is still a problem
before reporting anymore.

9.04 evloution appears to have removed some of the dialogue options for
connecting a google calendar.
This may be why I can no longer connect to my goggle apps hosted calendars,
mail and contacts work just fine.
