settings to work at all, in upstream's gnome-control-center

This is just because the current libpoppler-glib-dev depends on
libgtk2.0-dev instead of libgtk3.0-dev. It uses GDK in its API, for
instance. This would happen to people using GTK+ 3, not just gtkmm 3.
However, GDK is only used by include files when POPPLER_WITH_GDK is

I'm reopening this because I have evolution 2.22.2-0ubuntu2 in Ubuntu
Hardy and evolution still often stays offline after the network has
reconnected. This seems particularly easy to reproduce when returning
from suspension or hibernation.

release. If somebody could test if eclipse still crashes with trunk,

This is probably related to the deprecation of the GtkTooltips API in
GTK+ 2.12, in favour of the GtkTooltip (no s) API. Of course it
shouldn't cause a crash or change of behaviour. Maybe Eclipse is using
the API in some way that it shouldn't.

Here is a screenshot to show how awful this is. I feel this should be a
show-stopped for Feisty because it is likely to affect so many people.
This is what you get for each window after switching to non-browse mode
(the GNOME default, if not Ubuntu's) and choosing view as list for new
windows.
This is fixed in Ubuntu Feisty (and maybe Edgy). I don't know if it's
fixed in Dapper.
