I just checked the user account, and I get some sort of crash in
blueman-applet. This laptop has no physical bluetooth hardware installed
(though it has a switch and presumably an empty socket inside). For
whatever reason gnome's Startup Applications app lists blueman-applet as
the sole startup app
The brand sticker on this Acer Aspire 5100-3949 laptop says "Radeon Xpress
1100" and lspci says:

Evolution won't cancel search: message says 'no messages contain search
criteria - clear or change the search criteria' but clearing does not work and
the search keeps trying in endless loop. It's not possible to view the current
folder in this condition.

It happens to me too, even in fullscreen.
Also, another way to fix it is by uninstalling gnome-screensaver completely and
installing xscreensaver. That one is a lot better anyway, and you get like 200
screensavers with it, which look awesome on an HDTV.

I was trying to connect to a machine right next to me and the vinagre
session was black, but the system I connected to responded to all mouse
events (didn't try keyboard) within the vinagre window. SO the
connection was in place, just no image. I tried several different
resolution / compression set
I was having this problem with an nvidia 6600GT. I haven't been able to
reproduce it after downgrading to the 173 series nvidia driver, using
the "Additional Drivers" UI.
Does this work for anyone else? It suggests this is indeed a bug in the
current series nvidia driver.

I have been using an external drive formatted with ext3 for about a year
through several Ubuntu releases, and because I shut down that system
almost every night, I find that about once a month the drive won't mount
and I have to fsck it before it mounts normally -- you can see the "too
many mounts"

For me autologin or timed login doesn't work after boot up. But if i log
in as any user and log out timed login works. I have switched on
debugging but nothing remarkable is registered. The configuration is
registered and autologin and timed login is registered. The user that

I saw the icon on the panel wants evolution.svg but that only exists in
/usr/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/apps/evolution.svg and it tries to
find it in /usr/share/pixmaps/

I actually reinstalled Feisty just the other day (Friday to be precise)
Upgraded all packages, and the icon was gone.
On the gnome-panel the icon is a text-document with a red X inside, in the
sub-menus it is nothing at all.

I have the same problem. The server that shares the printers is Dapper
Drake and all the clients is also Dapper Drake. On the server I can
change all the settings avaiable for each printer. I can also change
these settings on each clent from the web interface on the client but
not from gnome-cups-m

The problem is solved. Then I used totem-xine I also viewd it on my TV.
To do this, the solution I used, started another instance of X for the
TV. This instance didn't care about the settings in gnome-scrensaver.
