Gnome-phone-manager can get the battery info from the attached mobile
phone, and gnome-power-manager can show the info from phone-manager.
This used to work in previous Ubuntu releases and is broken in karmic.
There were some changes
I tried the Karmik Live CD and g-p-m didn't crash ... but it didn't work
either.
The battery level for the phone, as reported by gnome-power-manager, is
0, which might mean that it doesn't comunicate too well with gnome-
phone-manager. If it did, it might crash, or not...
I will try to install
I installed 9.10 and default power-manager+phone-manager do not show
battery info for the phone.
Next I compiled gnome-phone-manager trunk, and it still doesn't work;
and both power-manager and phone-manager from trunk, and it doesn't work
anyway.
On 9.04, with either the default phone-manager

which tels gnome-power-manager the battery level for the phone. The

gvfsd-sftp uses 100% CPU at random times and for no apparent reason.
There are not SFTP/SSH remote locations mounted, and there were none
since booting.
After some time since booting, a gvfsd-sftp process started using 100% of a CPU
core. The
I had rhythmbox running during this time, and there where some songs in
the library that where on a remote SFTP server that was not available.
I removed the songs from the rhythmbox library, killed gvfsd-sftp, and
restarted rhytmbox; and the problem no longer occurs.

I got a similar stuck window when dragging a web page favicon from
the Epiphany location bar to the desktop. Normally this would create a
shortcut to that web page. The attached screen shot is the result I got
now. The shortcut was not created.

First, the .ps files don't open in evince, so I only looked at the
print preview version.

I just noticed that this only hapens for JPEG files, but not RAW (NEF)
files.
I take photos in JPEG+RAW, so there are two copies of the photo. The
thumbs for the NEFs have correct orientations, and the JPEG thumbs seem
to not have the orientation tag applied to them.

wondering what was the cause.
The system was a fresh install of Hardy Alpha, with regular updates and

1. Mount/browse a bloetooth location using the bluetooth applet;
2. Add a bookmark for the bluetooth location;
3. Open the bookmark from the nautilus Places menu;
4. Open the bookmark from the panel places menu;

Bryce, I tried to use EXA on a Ati X1350 with the radeon driver, and
while it fixed the black images, it has drawing bugs in other parts of
the desktop and is visibly slow at drawing.
Here is the output from lspci -vvnn:

The latest g-p-m fixed this for me - the buttons work correctly and the
brightness level does not get reset after some time.

Instead it turns black and with the backlit on.
Changing /apps/gnome-power-manager/backlight/dpms_method_ac and /apps
/gnome-power-manager/backlight/dpms_method_battery to suspend does
fix this and the monitor turns of completely.
Still an issue in Hardy. The images are also missing in Print Preview.
