When using seamless applications such as Rdesktop, the window manager
needs to send ConfigureNotify events. This is specified in ICCCM
section 4.1.5. Without it, software will hang and wait for a response.
A patch has been created here and should be merged:
"Fix Released" status is incorrect.
This is not fixed upstream but still requires action by the package
maintainer.
As others have pointed out, the only way to fix this problem for GIMP
2.8 is to build it against GECL 0.2 as is done upstream rather than the
Ubuntu-special build against GECL 0.3.
I don't know if the following will help in tracking this down but I'm
developing code in openCV and sometimes see this. It happens after
creating a 'namedwindow()'. If the new window isn't loaded with an
image, it seems to time out and give the error. I was investigating some

I have been using xscreensaver since gnome stopped using a screensaver.
I dont use lock screen,and it has had no effect on gnome shell that I
could determine.One way of doing it is to have screen saver in the start
menu. Xscreensaver works as a stand alone and would need no patch. The
way it is

gnome control center. Works just find. But it would be nice if it were

I have the same problem where the second disc uses the first songs from
side one and the start of side two. Checked Music Brainz and it is
tagged correctly there. Ryhtm Box is not seeing it as Disc 2. The Allman
Brothers Band, The Road Goes on Forever. Both Disc ID's match the two
disc ID's on MB.
As per comment #7 this looks like a kernel issue so flipping to Linux.
High: System crash on ~critical hardware function
Note I'm not duping it to bug 1007765 since it's kernel, but it might be
appropriate to do so; leave that to the kernel guys.

Changing from the intel xserver to gnome-screensaver; from the reports it
doesn't seem to be Intel specific.
Whether it's actually gnome-screensaver or something else seems to be difficult
to tell; most people seem to be saying removing it helps them, but #30 is not
