I have a similar issue on my Samsung R730, the buttons I use are Fn +
Up/Down arrow. They don't seem to work and for some reason if I get into
Ubuntu and then plug my power charger in, the battery charges but I
don't get an automatically brighter screen.

Just to clear this up, it was when I double clicked an ISO that it
failed, however something seems to have fixed it. I suspect it may have
been something other than Brasero. It works now, and I can't seem to
reproduce the problem.

I double click an ISO image in Nautilus, Brasero offers to burn the
image to CD however it is never successful. The CD Writer doesn't even
query the disc or attempt to write. This occurs with any ISO images.

to make changes, the password dialog wobbles as if the password is
wrong, even if entering the correct one. Trying to load the applet as
root via sudo means that the Unlock button is greyed out.
