Alacarte, the menu editor, seems to shows all .desktop files in
/usr/share/applications.
Bug-buddy and apport-gtk both have NoDisplay set to true in their
desktop file, which makes them disappear from the normal menus. That's
why alacarte marks them specially: small and italic. Entries which are

If you were to check again, then you will see that whatever menu item
you un-select will show small italic.
So I think my point still stands. Just for the sake of the discussion:
1) open SystemPreferencesMain Menu
2) navigate to Office
3) unselect all (yes, all) menu items
Result:
All
Reopened it to discuss the issue into some more dept.

Nothing will be changed in alacarte for this, it is doing nothing wrong.
The problem is the only way to hide something from alacarte is to set
Hidden=true but that also disables using it for opening .crash files in
nautilus.
