I think there is a problem with nxagent (from NoMachine) I connected through
the vrdp port on the vm and everything works normally (If you don't

Ok I reinstalled jaunty in the vm and in fact gnome-settings-daemon is never
started when using the nxclient to connect, when I lauch it through
