Selecting American from the GDM login screen does seem to resolve the
problem. All the Metacity tool tips now use en_US instead of en_GB.
Thanks for your bug. What version of Ubuntu do you use? What LANGUAGE
config do you have to /etc/environment? Does picking american from the
gdm login screen language selector makes a difference?
