Re:[Bug 45363] Re: Ubuntu Dapper Splash Screen doubled (Ubuntu-slick.png)
I think this report is too old and probably when I was using Ubuntu 5.10. Actually I use Ubuntu 6.06 LTS and the problem stills, but it's not in relation to the splash screen, but to the visualization of pages during browsing in the net. Every time windows are mixed: the left part comes to the right and mixes labels and others, so it is almost impossible reading pages. I was thinking about the old video card, but as it uses 32 MBvram and is an AGP, this shouldn't be... I would try to recompile xorg, but last time I did it, everything freezed, so I have to ask to you: do you have any suggestion to this? Thank you for your help. [Bug 66385] Re: Gaim pops up many popups for the same error
Honestly, I don't want to think about what kind of error this is. I either expect one of these two behaviors: 1. As long as the dialog is open (which might be required for debugging or getting support), gaim doesn't try to automatically connect (as there is a connect button that doesn't even get insensitive if the second connection attempt succeeds). 2. If a second error occurs (on the same account), add it (together with a timestamp) to the dialog; well, at least if the error is different. Reason: I don't want to think in terms of connections (in which case you're absolutely right); I just think about accounts - the core question of IM is whether or not an account is online, not how many connections failed. ** Changed in: gaim (Ubuntu) Status: Rejected = Unconfirmed -- Gaim pops up many popups for the same error https://launchpad.net/bugs/66385 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs

This bug is not a dublicate of any of the bugs mentioned. The latest MSN-Messenger can replace parts of the text the users entered with images. I believe that originally the feature was ment to let users create own smilies. However, those images are not displayed in the actual version of Gaim in edgy. They were displayed in dapper. [Bug 62139] Re: gdm hangs altogether after timeout on the gdm socket
Back once again. I just checked if the patch applies against the exact dapper version and found out that I was accidentally working with the edgy source as the patch did not make any sense there. [Bug 45633] Re: Evolution eats up all system memory when recursing into imap directory tree.
I find evolution eats all my RAM if I leave it unattended for several (~8) hours and return. Any idea if it's the same bug? Is there a workaround? I have 1GB RAM and at least 1GB of swap so can usually shut down evolution (even if it takes 10 minutes to drop to a terminal). I have 'imap', 'pop' and 'maildir' accounts (no imap4). I've probably got 20+ files in my home folder. -- Evolution eats up all system memory when recursing into imap directory tree. https://launchpad.net/bugs/45633 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 66600] Re: Crash on opening audio CD
Thanks for your bug. Do you open an audio disc or a disk with mp3 files which would be a data disk? Could you get a backtrace with nautilus-dbg installed? ** Changed in: nautilus (Ubuntu) Assignee: (unassigned) = Ubuntu Desktop Bugs Status: Unconfirmed = Needs Info -- Crash on opening audio CD https://launchpad.net/bugs/66600 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
[Bug 65642] Re: totem crash while trying to make a thumb of an uncomplete avi
I have exactly the same problem with Edgy up-to-date and a ffmpeg's .dvd file (avi codec) created with Blender. If I go to the directory where Blender are creating the video, totem tumbnailer crash. -- totem crash while trying to make a thumb of an uncomplete avi https://launchpad.net/bugs/65642 -- desktop-bugs mailing list desktop-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/desktop-bugs
