In my case the problem was related to the ldap nss authentication. dbus-
daemon is running as messagebus user while libnss-ldap.conf is not
readable by anyone except root (600) - so dbus-daemon could not
authenticate. Changing permissions to 644 fixed the connection problem.

Restarted hald in verbose mode. first timestamp is 09:31:43.595, last
timestamp is 09:32:32.162, so about 50 seconds.
There is a forced 1000 ms wait at blockdev (see timestamps 09:32:10.650
onward) for each device found; this piece of init takes about 20 seconds
to complete.

installed and started through the /etc/init.d/spamassassin init file.

I'm running a wifi dongle, with the zd1201 driver on Feisty. The device works,
and the WEP wireless-key in my etc/network/interfaces used to work on Dapper.
Now it seems that the network-manager can't read the key.

I can imagine that the LCD panel itself (or its controller (or a even
the graphics card)) reduces the color depth which is usually not that
visible but becomes more prominent with dim colors. Therefore, Duncan
Lithgow might even consider the screenshot to be ugly when displayed on
his LCD.

OK, I'm a bit surprised at what might have happened. Here's another log.
Basically, I ran it the way I usually do, it crashed on this one MP3 the
way it usually does, and I took the dump. If it isn't in this dump, I
don't know what to tell you. When Rhythmbox uses GStreamer, it doesn't

Christof - you might be right, but how do we find out? And if it's ugly
then it's ugly - the reason is a bit of a side issue. I can't find any
GUI indication of what my color depth is, but I seem to remember it
being 24 - does that sound right?

Binary package hint: network-manager
After I woke up the laptop from sleep there is the standard password
dialog that asks me to input a password, and that's ok. But just right
after that, network-manager asks me again because of the keyring thing
in order to allow
I've hit this bug, just now. It doesn't occur with my own user account,
but it does occur with any user account I create with the 'desktop'
profile. What's going on?
There is one difference though. It doesn't save the file, nor do I get
any output on the terminal. THe window just stays grayed out
I have assigned this bug to gnome-keyring, because it just idiotic it
even asks for passwords to store passwords associated with a user.
They are associated with a user. It should not ask for a 'global'
password in the beginnen, nor one to access stuff. Just one question

The same icon is used for two different Evolution entries in the menus.
Ideally, we'd have something like:
Internet - (Mail Icon) Evolution Mail
Office - (Evo Icon) Evolution

I'm seeing this on all my feisty installs (with totem 2.18.0). Even if I
disable all screensaver and power saving features, the monitor is still
turning off after almost exactly 20 minutes of play.

I can't imagine anyone ever actually setting the clock to display UNIX
time... but if they did, the show_seconds gconf setting for the clock
applet should be turned on, since it doesn't make too much sense to use
a time format that displays seconds but only have the time
